Frequently Asked Questions

Wireless Access protected by iSecurf

Q: How can I access the ZRNet Service wireless network?

A: If you're using a device with built-in Wi-Fi, set your wireless network settings to connect to freezrnetwifihotspot.

If you're using an external Wi-Fi device, one that's not built-in, set the SSID (or network identifier) to connect to freezrnetwifihotspot. Instructions on how to set your SSID vary depending on the brand and model of wireless network card you are using. Please refer to your wireless network card documentation for specific instructions on how to configure your device. You may also call ZRNet Service for support at 415.920.2226 or email us at sales@zrnetservice.com.

Q: How do I connect to the network?

A: Use your Wi-Fi enabled laptop or mobile device at a ZRNet Wi-Fi hotspot and access the network as described above. Activate your favorite browser and you will be taken to the ZRNet Service wireless login screen.

You can obtain a username and password by purchasing a prepaid wireless card at one of our many locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. You may also sign up as a monthly user by clicking the Sign Up link and following the simple instructions.

Q: What is iSecurf?

A: At home, you probably use a WPA security standard to protect your home wireless network from those who prey on unsecured connections. Did you know the vast majority of public Wi-Fi connections are not protected? iSecurf allows users of public Wi-Fi connections to create their own private WPA encryption key and connect with security and peace of mind.

Wired Workstations

Q: How do I sign in?

A: First, purchase a prepaid Internet card at one of our many locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sit at a workstation and scratch off the label to reveal your username and password. Enter your username and password in the sign-in boxes on the screen to start your session.

Alternatively, while at the wired workstation, you can swipe your credit card through the magnetic reader and select your desired session length. You will be prompted to create a username and password when your session ends in order to save any unused minutes.

Q: How do I sign out?

A: If you're using a prepaid card, simply click the sign-out button and then click Yes on the confirmation message. Your session will be ended and any unused minutes will be saved for future use.

If you've swiped a credit card, click the sign-out button and then follow the prompts to create a unique username and password. Any unused minutes will be saved for future use and accessible using the username and password you've just created.
